This was a very unique scenario the way this new build started. This wonderful family had hired us to help design a kitchen and a few rooms in their existing home. In a tragic event the house had a fire and burnt down. They were forced to start fresh and rebuild. We were brought back in to design and build a whole new home for them. On the wish list? A kitchen with a secret walk in pantry. A double story height great room with vaulted ceilings, a trim wall in the entryway that doubles as a secret James Bond style entryway into the shared mudroom/laundry room with the client's father living in a beautiful apartment we created for him in the basement. We really felt like we got to flex our design wings on this project and are so thankful the homeowners trusted us with this very important task of rebuilding their family home. Project Cedar is modern Muskoka at its finest.
