PROJECT Rutherford
“Fiercely Feminine” is the first thing that came to our minds when designing for this client at Project Rutherford. We wanted the design to embody the homeowner’s fiercely feminine personality. This project was a collaboration with Mike Holmes from Holmes Family Rescue show which aired on HGTV in the US and CTV life Channel in Canada. Her wish list: an eat-in kitchen, a dog crate, and having the spaces accessible for her Mom to visit. We went from outdated 70s vibes to bold, playful, and fabulous. We balanced out all the pattern and texture with the neutral colours, making the rooms bold but not too busy. From the checkerboard accent wall in the homeowner’s office to the custom red cabinets in the garage, the design concept of “fiercely feminine” is perfectly conveyed through the homeowner’s interiors. Did we mention the homeowner is a motorcycle racer? How cool is that?
