ITS TIME. We have been sitting on this project for a hot second but we are ready. Ready to bring this beauty into the spotlight. Project Jennifer 3.0 is taking the stage. Are you ready for her? This project was a full home renovation where we created an addition on top of the 3 car garage to allow for a spacious master bedroom, en-suite, walk-in closet, gym (oh yes a master bedroom gym), office, and upper lounge area. While we were at it, we also did a main floor gut and made some interior changes to the existing upper floor plan as well. Come along for the final journey as we show you how this project came to life.

But first at huge shout out to our team who made this project come to life!

Contracting: RPM General Contracting
Millwork: Hartley Built

Let us let you in on a little secret. That's not a front doormat. I know... it does look like it, but that's the point. It is actually an inlay of tile so there is no need to be concerned about winter boots and muddy shoes coming in and wreaking havoc on that new hardwood floor that was just installed. Our best kept not so secret secret.
Continuing the tour...... Right this way.
Into the family room, a perfect spot to watch some after school cartoons, catch up on those 'This is Us' episodes you've been dying to squeeze in or catch a sports game. We decided to really play with fabrics and textures in this space!
See the kitchen peaking out in the back? ... let's slide over to take a look.
This chef's kitchen is the pièce de résistance on the main floor. Fitted with a high-end gas range, flanked by a butcher block prep space on either side, a built in espresso machine, a wine fridge, and a 14-foot island. YES, 14 feet!!! We can be rest assured that our clients will never run out of prep space !!
We wanted to add some fun details in this kitchen like the hex backsplash, a roman blind with "hand" blocked fabric, and floating shelves for a little bit of a styling opportunity!
Past the kitchen is this simple yet stylish dining room finished with a sleek fireplace that warms up the space.
Our pals at RPM really nailed this fireplace detail. They mitered the corners and wrapped the sides keeping the wood grain perfectly in line! How good is that?
Let us tour you into the main floor powder room. We brought the same tile that is on the floor right up the wall to create both form and function here. This powder room doubles as a space to change for the pool and hang towels so we wanted to make sure it was as waterproof as possible!
The good ol' mud room. Surprisingly two big requests that we get time and time again are "Can you help with my mudroom and laundry room". Two highly used spaces in any home. Here's how we did Jennifer's. This mudroom sitting just off of the garage allows our clients to come in and out with ease. Built-ins offer ample storage while the small bench on the side gives a soft spot to take off and put on shoes or drop a purse.
HELLO LAUNDRY ROOM BLISS. We started calling this room the laundry lounge. This one of a kind laundry room is a must-have for any family! So much storage! This thing has just about the same amount of millwork (cabinetry) as a kitchen. Truly a spectacular spot to do not so spectacular chores!
This pretty pink bedroom is fit for a special little girl! We wanted to maximize the visual impact and not max out our budget so we decided to paint the ceiling pink.. yes pink. Our clients were trusting to go along with it (thank you guys) and look at how cool it turned out! We also used rainbow decals instead of wallpaper which helped us create a fun focal wall while keeping our budget in check.
Is this not the sweetest little girls' bathroom to match? White scalloped wall tiles pair beautifully with a blush pink picket niche tile. It's just right.
Take a peek at the upper lounge we created. This space serves a few purposes. The first is a little gathering space for our client and her team as she works from a home office. Like many these days. The second is a quiet spot to wind down from the day without retiring straight to bed. It's like that buffer spot between "I'm too tired to be sitting downstairs on the couch, but not tired enough to crawl into bed!".
This master bedroom is all kinds of wonderful. See that open door with the spin bike making a little appearance in the back there? Yup, you guessed it. A little gym off of the bedroom gives our clients quick access to their active lifestyle without waking the little one up! When they are all done a slide of a barn door and poof it's like nothing ever happened.
This bathroom is the best spot for starting the day. We slabbed (that's a verb) the shower walls for a luxurious feel and paired it with a cool patterned floor tile with contrasting square details to give it a harmonious vibe.
We are sad to see Jennifer 3.0 go! We had so much fun working on this project. Our clients were like magical unicorns on this truly collaborative project. We love bringing our clients' visions to life and creating spaces that are so special for them to spend time with their friends, family and loved ones. The best results come from projects where clients trust us to design the home of their dreams and then execute that plan.

That's a wrap on this month's letter. Catch us next month for a real festive holiday edition where we will give away our favourite sources for the best christmas decor and some sneaky peaks on a few DIY's for the holiday season!

Bless!
